At times, a patient with a chronic illness leaves a healthcare provider’s office with a prescription for a vital medication that the person has no financial means of obtaining. Without the medication, the patient’s health may deteriorate and lead to a medical emergency. The Pharmaceutical Assistance Program helps income eligible individuals without prescription insurance obtain the needed prescription medication.
HealthFriends assists people in applying for long term assistance from the Patient Assistance Programs of national pharmaceutical companies. In cooperation with the individual’s healthcare provider. We work closely with patients to help obtain three to 12 months supply of the needed medication. If this is not available we can try to purchase up to a month’s supply of the medication while the application is in process. Lastly we can also assists in EPIC (Enhanced Prescription Insurance Coverage) enrollment for people 65 and older.
